Why can't I assign a certain job, employee or position to a shift in Schedule - New?
When you assign a Job Code to a shift in Schedule - New, CLEARVIEW automatically applies constraints to the Employee field so that only employees that have been actively assigned that job (in the Job & Pay tab of the electronic employee file) display in the drop-down list. Similarly, when you assign an Employee to a shift, the options available in the Job Code and Position drop-down lists are automatically constrained to only the jobs that have been actively assigned to the employee (in the Job & Pay tab of the electronic employee file) and the positions Different from jobs, positions (or staff positions) are specific roles that employees can take on during a shift (like Cashier, Drive Thru Order Taker, Fry Cook, etc.) and can be used to ensure that all positions are covered when creating a schedule. that the employee is skilled at (either rated Mid or Full in the Skill Level tab of the electronic employee file), respectively.
These constraints can be overridden by clicking on when editing the shift details.
removes all constraints applied to the Job Code, Employee and Position fields and lets you select from all active job codes, active employees and assigned staff positions, respectively.
